Workflows Updates
- Conditional Logic Variables Support
You can now use variables to create more personalized workflows. Store the content of a message reply as a variable to use later in the workflow. For example, if you ask your customers to share their favorite pizza topping, their replies can be stored under the variable {FavoriteTopping} and referenced in follow-up messages: “Thanks for letting us know you’re a fan! Use code TOP25 for 25% off a {FavoriteTopping} pizza!”
- Company Name Pre-Populated in Messages
To keep your experience consistent across the platform, any message you compose in the Workflows “Send Message” step will now automatically include your company name, just like when sending group messages elsewhere in the app.
- New: Update Contact Node
We’ve introduced a powerful new tool: the Update Contact node! Use it to automatically update contact and custom field values during a workflow. This helps keep your contact records up to date and allows you to send even more relevant messages based on what you learn about your audience. (Look out for new templates soon that showcase how to use this node.)
Other Product Updates
- Unlimited Custom Contact Fields
You're no longer limited to just five custom contact fields. Now you can create as many as you need, allowing you the flexibility to keep more detailed records and build workflows that better segment and target your contacts.
- Active Contacts Display in Groups
On the Contacts > Groups page, you’ll now see the number of Active Contacts (those who have opted in) for each group. Previously, the contact count included everyone in the group, whether or not they had opted in.
- Improved Add Contacts Flow
When you click “Add Contacts” in the app, you’ll now land on the "Upload" tab by default instead of the "Add Individual" tab. This change reflects how most users add contacts and removes an extra step when uploading lists.
- New Inbox Settings Flexibility
You now have more control over how your Inbox works. Choose whether you want messages to be marked as read automatically when you view them, or manually mark them as read as desired.
