Workflows Updates
- List of Contacts: On the Workflows Reporting page, a Contacts tab has been added next to the report Overview tab, to display a list of all contacts who entered a workflow, when they entered, their current step, and the option to view detailed execution history.
- Contact Execution Records: Now, you can view detailed step-by-step workflow history when you click into a specific contact. With this update comes access to new search and filtering capabilities. You can search contacts by name or number with autocompleted suggestions to quickly find matched instances. You can also filter results by a contact’s current step in the workflow or by status (whether they're processing, exited early, or completed). You can reset your search at any time by clearing the filters.
- New Workflow Triggers:
- You can trigger workflows when an inbound message is sent to a specific number. This update will benefit you if you use multiple numbers in your EZ Texting account, allowing you to better segment your audience and tailor relevant follow-up messaging.
- You can now launch workflows the moment an event fires in an external application or system via our Webhook trigger. Webhooks establish seamless connections to your CRM, scheduling tool, or third-party services like Zapier. For example, a workflow triggered by a webhook to your scheduling system can automatically send a confirmation text when a customer books a new meeting.
- Our new Relative Date & Time trigger lets you schedule a message a certain number of minutes, hours, or days before or after any stored date. Send an appointment reminder 24 hours ahead of time, a payment follow‑up three days later, or a recurring message every week leading up to a date.
Other Product Updates
- Campaign Calendar: We’ve enhanced our Campaign Calender with in-line scheduling! Now, when you select a holiday or date on the calendar you’ll be prompted to schedule a message directly within the calendar interface. This eliminates unnecessary back-and-forth in the platform and makes it even easier for you to schedule a year’s worth of messages in just a few minutes.
- API Message Types: We’ve updated our API to allow you to dictate whether a message should send as an SMS or MMS using a new parameter: "messageType":"SMS" or “messageType”:“MMS”. This improvement ensures you’ll experience greater transparency and control over how your messages are sent.
- Exported Delivery Reports: Reports now include a timestamp column, making it easy to see exactly when each message was sent. You’ll also be able to export all default and customer contact fields in your reports, improving data visibility and insights into your audience.
- Invoice Exports: Now, from the Billing page in your account, you can download all of your invoices in a single CSV file so that you can easily review, filter, and analyze your invoice and payment history.
- Signup Form Required Fields: You can now choose which fields, in addition to phone number, are required in your signup forms. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*) and include built-in validation, ensuring better data quality from every submission.
- Improved Zapier Mapping: You can now map custom contact fields from EZ Texting when using the Create/Update Contact action in Zapier. Previously, only default fields like first name, last name, and email were supported. This update gives you greater flexibility to sync richer data across systems and build more personalized, dynamic Zaps.
